The Riders Meet the Sliders!

The world’s going green Tuesday, April 5 at the 2011 Ford World Men’s Curling Championship.  “Green Day” features a number of special events and a visit from several of the Saskatchewan Roughriders.

Green Day in Regina

The players include Chris Getzlaf, Luc Mullinder, Neal Hughes, Brent Hawkins, Mike McCullough and legendary Rider mascot, Gainer the Gopher.  They’ll be featured in an Up Close and Personal interview at 4:30 pm in Keith’s Patch and an autograph session at 6:00 pm in the FANfest area. “We’re encouraging all our fans to wear green and show the rest of the world our Saskatchewan Pride,” said Derek Boe, Host Committee Chair.  “We’re expecting the Brand Centre to take on the atmosphere of a Rider home game… and everyone wearing green will have the chance to win prizes.” Great seats are still available for the world championship, running April 2 – 10. Single draw tickets, starting at just $12 each, can be purchased online, by phone at 800.970.7328 or in person at the Brandt Centre Box Office. Every ticket also includes complimentary admission to Keith’s Patch… Canada’s party place. The Patch is where fans and competitors alike come together to enjoy an appetizing array of food and beverages, along with an outstanding lineup of great Canadian bands.  And, during Green Day, the fun includes a variety of football-themed games.
