The Drive is Alive in Langley

The Fort Ladies Annual “Golf for the Cure” Tournament was held August 23rd at the Fort Langley Golf Course with 128 players coming out to support Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation research initiatives. The World Financial Group Continental Cup of Curling promotions team was on the course to contribute to the success of the popular fundraiser as the sponsor of the challenging 8th hole.

Competitors in the "Golf for the Cure" tournament line up to putt for a World Financial Group Continental Cup prize at the Fort Langley Golf Course.

The sand traps on the difficult par three provided extra waiting time on the tee – and the opportunity for players to test their putting skills. Any shot ending on the “Continental Cup” green was rewarded with an entry in the draw for a pair of single-draw tickets. Golfers who landed on the “secret spot” took home a World Financial Group Continental Cup prize… with the choice of golf tees, lip balm or Digi Mate screen cleaners. The Continental Cup volunteers will be out again September 10th meeting with drivers of a different variety for the “Langley Good Times Cruise-In”.  Rated one of the top ten mixed car shows in North America, the event attracts crowds in the range of 100,000 to see some of the most amazing cars on the continent. “You Gotta Be There” January 12 – 15 when the best curlers in the world shift into high gear in the Langley Events Centre.  Get your tickets now by clicking here.
