School’s Out for Curling!

When the 2012 World Financial Group Continental Cup of Curling takes to the ice January 12 – 15 in the Langley Events Centre, the stands will be alive with the cheers from hundreds of enthusiastic young curling fans. The School Program, sponsored by Kwantlen Polytechnic University, is making it possible for a group of students from the Langley region, ranging from grades four and up, to attend the Thursday and Friday morning draws at the Continental Cup.

A section of 500 seats has been reserved each day to provide the students with the opportunity to experience the excitement of live championship curling – and hopefully encourage them to get involved in the sport. Kwantlen Polytechnic University is an innovative, transformative and ambitious institution that serves the needs of Metro Vancouver, British Columbia, and beyond. KPU strives at all times to inspire students to excel in their careers, lead in their communities, and succeed in their lives. With campuses in Richmond, Surrey, Langley and Cloverdale, (and now with ties to Maple Ridge) Kwantlen University has opened the doors to success for more than 200,000 graduates over its thirty-year history. The institution proudly adopted the name of the Kwantlen First Nation, whose people are acknowledged historically as ‘tireless runners.’ The name has proven to be prophetic as Kwantlen, the institution, runs tirelessly to expand its capacity to serve the citizens of Metro Vancouver, the province, the nation, and the world. Their key to success is a Kwantlen University experience that transforms students into graduates who lead in their communities, and who find jobs faster and earn more than graduates of other British Columbia universities. “You Gotta Be There” to share the excitement of the young students at the 2012 World Financial Group Continental Cup of Curling.  Great seats are available now just by clicking here.
