The Sweet Sounds of the Scotties Ring Out at Symphony Sale

The volunteers for the 2013 Scotties Tournament of Hearts were out in full force for the Kingston Symphony’s Vinyl Record Sale October 11-13 to promote the Canadian Women’s Curling Championship coming to the K-Rock Centre this February. The annual symphony fundraiser in the Frontenac Mall has become a popular gathering for residents of the “Limestone City”.  With a choice of everything from LPs, 45 and 78 rpm records to CDs, DVDs and stereo equipment, the sale attracts large crowds of music-lovers every year. The Scotties crew was on hand to make sure everyone knows the best curlers in the country will be heading to Kingston February 16-24 accompanied by some of the hottest bands in the land performing on stage in the HeartStop where curling fans gather to party when the games are done. You’ll find the HeartStop at the Kingston Memorial Centre, 303 York Street.  Complimentary shuttle service will be available for the short ride from the K-Rock Centre. The Chevelles, perennial crowd favourites at Season of Champions events clear across the country, are one of the first acts confirmed to entertain the crowds.  With a playlist that encompasses more than 200 tunes, these guys have the knack to keep the dance floor packed until the lights go down. Along with a nightly lineup of live entertainment, the party in the HeartStop also includes a tasty array of food and beverages.  And admission is free with every same-day Scotties ticket! Scotties promotions carry on with a full fall schedule that includes appearances at the Gananoque Curling Club October 15 and 17.  The entire volunteer team will gather for the first Volunteer Rally October 21 at the Four Points by Sheraton Kingston. The clock is ticking down on the deadline for Double Impact ticket packages.  Fans have until October 30 to pick up the Double Impact Opener with two tickets for the first 11 draws for $279 or the Double Impact Champ including a pair of tickets for the final 11 draws priced at $399. “You Gotta Be There” for the excitement of live championship curling and the party of a lifetime at the 2013 Scotties Tournament of Hearts.   Get the best seats in the K-Rock Centre now by clicking here.
