Norway’s Ulsrud Sides with the World

Thomas Ulsrud will be making his fourth appearance at the World Financial Group Continental Cup of Curling when his Norwegian shooters join Team World January 10-13 in Penticton’s South Okanagan Events Centre to face Team North America in the ninth edition of the international classic. Ulsrud’s first trip to the Cup came in 2008 and he returned the past two years, helping the World side secure the 2012 championship and tie the series at four wins apiece. One of the most popular and highly respected competitors on the international curling scene, he has represented Norway at the World Men’s Curling Championship on eight occasions resulting in three bronze medals. Ulsrud was part of what is considered by many as the most memorable moment in curling history when he played Canada’s Kevin Martin in the gold medal final of the 2010 Olympic Games in Vancouver. Prior to making their way to Penticton for the 2013 World Financial Group Continental Cup, Ulsrud and teammates Torger Nergård, Christoffer Svae and Håvard Vad Peterson will be competing at the European Curling Championships in Sweden with a third consecutive gold medal at stake. “You Gotta Be There” for all the excitement and drama of the 2013 World Financial Group Continental Cup.  Choose from a wide selection of the best seats in the South Okanagan Events Centre just by clicking here.
