Home Hardware named exclusive home improvement retailer of the Canadian Curling Association
A new partnership between the Canadian Curling Association and Home Hardware Stores Limited was announced today.
The national retailer, which will enter into its 50th year of business in 2014, has been named the exclusive home improvement retailer of the CCA. In addition, Home Hardware Stores Limited also is a National Supplier for CCA Season of Champions events, which began with the Tim Hortons Roar of the Rings Canadian Curling Trials, presented by Monsanto, earlier this month in Winnipeg.
“This is a natural partnership between our organization and a company that stretches from coast to coast,” said CCA Chief Executive Officer Greg Stremlaw. “Having the support of sponsors like Home Hardware makes our Season of Champions events easier to manage. We’re ecstatic to welcome them to the CCA.”
Home Hardware is Canada’s largest independent home improvement retailer with close to 1,100 stores operating in every province and territory in Canada under one of its four banners: Home Hardware, Home Hardware Building Centre, Home Building Centre and Home Furniture.
“Throughout the year our Home Owners are busy helping Canadian homeowners with all their decorating to renovating needs, but when it comes time for the curling season, Home Hardware Dealer-Owners are proud to lend a hand and support our national pastime,” said Rob Wallace, Public Relations and Promotional Events Manager for Home Hardware Stores Limited. “With our passion for curling and our presence in communities across Canada, Home Hardware is an ideal supporter for the Canadian Curling Association and we’re thrilled to partner, which allows Home to connect with millions of Canadians in the communities where our Dealer-Owners do business.”
Home Hardware joins a list of prominent companies as official national suppliers to the CCA and its Season of Champions, such as Traveller’s Insurance, AMJ Campbell Van Lines, and Bell Canada, while Tim Hortons, Ford, Kruger Products, M&M Meat Shops, Capital One and World Financial Group continue as title sponsors of the CCA’s major championships.
