A new look for curling.ca!

Welcome to our brand new website! Well, not EXACTLY a new website; more like a new-look website, with a fresh, vibrant look that will be easy on the eyes, whether you’re checking it out on a desktop computer or your mobile device.

It’s the result of a months-long collaboration with internationally renowned marketing and communications agency Cossette, Inc. Curling Canada was seeking not only a new look for its website, but a more robust site that adheres to modern web accessibility standards, which in turn would result in better speed, security, stability, discoverability and navigability.

It was no easy task, considering the sheer volume of information found on our website — ranging from our championships to coaching information, Safe Sport information, and even designs to build your own curling rink.

“Our relaunched website will take us to another level of accessibility, presentation and ease of navigation,” said Katherine Henderson, Chief Executive Officer of Curling Canada. “I can’t say enough good things about the collaborative work that was put in over the past few months between Cossette, Inc., and our Curling Canada team. They all have a great deal to be proud of.”

You will notice bigger pictures, bigger text, more video features and, most importantly, easier navigation throughout the site, whether you’re a new curler looking for a way to get involved with the sport or a fan looking for tickets or information on our championships.

“There’s more going on with this launch than an admittedly slick new design,” said Justin Perry, Curling Canada’s Director of Information Services and Technology. “It’s going to change the way we produce content, and how frequently, what kinds of content, and how our audiences engage with that content across devices.”

Over the coming weeks, the various Curling Canada event websites will also be adapted to the new look.

“Cossette is extremely proud of the work we have done in partnership with Curling Canada to modernize their website,” said Nadine Cole, Senior Vice-President and General Manager at Cossette Inc. “The new site is designed to make it easier for fans to get closer to the sport of curling — whether it is attending an event, joining a club, purchasing team merchandise or simply learning more about the game. Curling is truly a part of the fabric of Canadian culture and we hope the new site brings more people into the world of curling.”
