NEAVE ALDERSON
Fran Todd All Heart Scholarship“Curling gave me something I never thought I could have again: a sport where I can be active, fully included, and genuinely welcomed. Before curling, I often felt like I was on the outside looking in, but this sport offered me a way to be a part of something bigger than myself without limitations or barriers. It has given me the chance to grow not only as an athlete but also as a person, teaching me resilience, teamwork, and confidence.”
STEPHANIE ATHERTON
For the Love of Curling ScholarshipI had amazing role models who showed me what was possible in our sport, without them I wouldn’t have thought it was possible to dream as big as I have. This makes it very personal for me, I want to show young curlers that it is ok to dream big and that anything is possible! I will keep doing everything I can to be a good role model to inspire young curlers the same way I was inspired when“I was younger.”
CASSIDY BLADES
For the Love of Curling Scholarship“I am so grateful for this scholarship because it will help me chase both my curling and academic goals, as well as give me the opportunity to make a difference in the curling community. I commit so many hours to curling, and receiving this scholarship means so much to me. Thank you so much to those who’ve made this scholarship possible, I look forward to giving back to the curling community in any way that I can and I’m so happy to be recognized in this way along with the other extremely talented curlers who have been recipients in the past, present, and future.”
SOPHIE BLADES
Fran Todd All Heart Scholarship“Curling has given me an opportunity to use my voice, meet the most incredible people and build a lifelong supportive community. On the ice, you are encouraged to be loud, bold and unapologetic which is something that has always drawn me to this sport. From coast-to-coast it is no secret that the curling community holds the kindest people. Whether it is on the national stage or a local club run tirelessly by volunteers, curlers are always ready to lend a helping hand and uplift those around them. I have been fortunate to meet my best friends through curling, and the most important people in my life.”
SAHIL DALRYMPLE
Fran Todd All Heart Scholarship“I am very honoured to be selected for a Curling Canada Scholarship alongside so many other incredible athletes to showcase my love of curling which has given me many lifelong memories and experiences. This scholarship helps me pursue my education and curling career while motivating me to give back and continue growing our sport.”
ZACHARY DAVIES
For the Love of Curling Scholarship“I would like to say a massive thank you to the curling community that makes the Curling Canada Scholarship Program possible for student-athletes. It is a huge help in relieving financial stress and aiding in my pursuit of a debt free degree. I’d like to extend my gratitude not only for the monetary support but also the recognition of my volunteering and role in the curling community. For this I am extremely thankful and inspired to give back more to the curling community that has done so much for me.”
DYLAN DERKSEN
Fran Todd All Heart Scholarship“Without the support of my community, I wouldn’t be where I am today. Thank you for always being there to support me and help me grow as a curler and a person. I am grateful for the chance to grow both as a player and a person, and I will do my best to give back to the sport and community that has given so much to me.”
CLAIRE DUBINSKY
For the Love of Curling Scholarship“To my curling community, thank you. Thank you for the honour of this scholarship. Thank you for inspiring me to be the best curler I can be. And thank you for your endless support. I would not be where I am today if I didn’t have my fantastic curling community with me every step of the way.”
ALICIA EVANS
Fran Todd All Heart Scholarship“I want young kids and curlers to feel like they can achieve what they set their minds to. I want to encourage them to not only pursue curling, but also academics, volunteerism, and whatever else makes them feel successful. It’s important for these young curlers to see that they can be whatever they dream of, and that they don’t need to limit themselves.”
BETHANY EVANS
For the Love of Curling Scholarship“When I was just starting to curl in the junior program, I was lucky enough to have mentors around me who I could look up to. It made me realize just how important it is to have someone who not only shows what’s possible, but also supports and helps curlers reach their goals. I want to be able to help every kid who has dreams of becoming the best curler they can be.”
JULIA MARKLE
For the Love of Curling Scholarship“I am honoured to have received a scholarship that looks not just at curling accomplishments but at who we are as people. It gives me great pride to know I share this scholarship with such amazing people who all give back to their communities in incredible ways and who are changing the sport for the better. I truly believe we can make a difference both inside and outside of this sport by giving back to our communities who have helped us reach our goals and dreams.”
ADAM FENTON

It’s introduced me to some of the greatest people in my life and provided me with the confidence to be myself. That’s why I love curling, because it’s more than a sport to me; it’s a community that has shaped who I am today."
DREW GRATTAN
Fran Todd All Heart Scholarship“I want to take a moment to thank the curling community for making this scholarship possible. A huge thank you to the Governor General’s Curling Club for giving me the honour of representing such a historic organization. It truly means a lot and is very humbling. No matter what, I’ll always do my best to set a good example and pass on the traditions, respect, and love of the game that hooked me in the first place.”
CAILEY LOCKE
For the Love of Curling Scholarship“Curling is more than a sport; it is a community filled with kindness, respect, inclusion, and support. The people that I have met through curling and the experiences I’ve had have played a major role in the person that I am today. I am proud to be part of such a welcoming community.”
CHRISTOPHER MCCURDY
For the Love of Curling Scholarship“It’s amazing to feel the support of the entire curling community as I start my undergraduate studies. It is important to me to be part of a sports community that values education and personal growth for young members.”
OLIVIA MCDONAH
Fran Todd All Heart Scholarship“To the curling community, and to the generous individuals who make the Fran Todd All Heart Scholarship possible, thank you, from the bottom of my heart. Your support is not just financial; it’s a powerful message that who we are as people matters just as much as how we perform on the ice. It recognizes not only my commitment to curling, but also the values that have carried me through some of life’s hardest moments. Investing in young curlers like me helps ensure that the culture of empathy and community that makes this sport so special continues to thrive.”
RYLIE PAUL
Fran Todd All Heart Scholarship“I am very thankful for the continuous support, generosity, and dedication of the curling community that makes opportunities like the Curling Canada Scholarship Program possible for student-athletes. I am so honoured to be a part of a community that continues to invest in the future of our sport. This generosity inspires me to give back to the curling community in any way I can to also inspire the future generations.”
AILA THOMPSON
Fran Todd All Heart Scholarship“Curling isn’t just a sport, it’s a family. Everywhere you go, whether it's a practice, game, or a tournament, you’re welcomed by a community of volunteers, teammates, family and friends. No matter where you are in a club the love for the game shines on the ice, behind the glass and even in the timekeepers' chairs. You can compete hard on the ice but you still laugh together off the ice. You play against your friends, past teammates and new faces. It doesn’t matter how intense a game gets, respect and integrity come first. That's what makes curling so special.”
JESSE TIEDE
For the Love of Curling Scholarship“Thank you to the curling community for giving me a home away from home—a place I know I can return to no matter where in the world I end up. Thank you for being there through both the highs and the lows, and for giving me a space where I could truly be myself. Thank you for creating an environment where I could spend time with my family, learn, grow, and most importantly, learn how to have fun no matter what was happening in the game. I am incredibly grateful for the support, memories, and opportunities you have given me.”
TANNER TREICHEL
For the Love of Curling Scholarship“Role models in the sport of curling are so important because they display a lot of what it means to be a curler not only on the ice but off the ice as well. If I could be that person who inspires someone to work hard and treat others the way I was treated in my first few events, it would mean much more to me than any other wins in the sport and it would definitely be something I would take a lot of pride in.”

Investing in our future
LEADERS & BUILDERS
Thanks to the incredible generosity of the curling community, each year 20 scholarships are awarded to a dedicated group of student-athletes, helping them pursue their dreams both on and off the ice. These young Scholars represent the future of curling, not only as athletes, but also as the builders of our sport: the future coaches, leaders, officials, and volunteers who will keep curling strong for generations to come. By investing in them today, we are nurturing tomorrow’s champions and safeguarding the legacy of curling in Canada.
